Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti – Only In My Dreams

Pheww, typing out that long, crappy band name was exhausting! Anyways, I feel like this song is great for those days where you just wanna lie on your bed and stare at the ceiling. I think any music library needs those types of songs… Watch below!

Maybe I should dye my hair pink 😉

Crystal Castles

Summary
Crystal Castles are an electronic duo from Toronto, Canada. Consisting of producer Ethan Kath and Alice Glass, this duo has an interesting beginning.

Starting out as a solo project for Kath in which he wrote just instrumental music pieces, it wasn’t until he discovered Alice Glass, who was at the time in a punk band called Fetus Fatale (Crappy name if you ask me) that he had recognized his missing piece. Her voice. Kath contacted her asking to add lyrics and vocals and sent her 60 instrumental tracks. After successfully finishing the vocals on five of the tracks, Kath brought her in to continue to develop the songs, but unknown to Glass, the recording engineer secretly recorded the soundcheck and uploaded it onto the internet, appropriately named “Alice Practice“.

Crystal Castles quickly grew from that track’s release, being able to come out with three albums, “Crystal Castles”, “(II)”, and “(III)”.

Fun Fact
They got their name from a line in the cartoon She-Ra, which stated, “the fate of the world is safe in the Crystal Castle”.
